Pipes and Drums Lessons!

While visiting the Hector Heritage Quay museum in Pictou, the volunteers told us that our kids were welcome to attend a free Pipes and Drums lesson the following morning.  Of course Brian and I were thrilled about this.  We tried to encourage either Megan or Conor to choose the bagpipe/chanter lessons.  They both enthusiastically chose the drums, which was fine too.  Once again, our spontaneity led us to these lessons, which was a rare opportunity for a 5 and 7-year old.  (Live video footage at the end of the post!)

The lessons typically are outside, but this particular day it was pouring rain.  They relocated to the Blacksmith Shop.
