LOON MTN.

We were on our way to Loon Mountain in Lincoln, NH when we saw the aforementioned (dead) moose.  Brian had planned this trip to attend the Highland Games Festival at Loon Mountain as a Christmas gift last year.  It was so lovely - there was something interesting for everyone.

The kids packed their entire bedrooms to be with us in the hotel room. All these animals were stuffed into Megan's suitcase.

Conor's best buddies had to come along too!  (The one in the middle is a "Puffle" that Cowboy Boot Grandma made for Conor's birthday.  He loves it!)

We had the coolest hot tub in our room, of which we took full advantage!  I think we ran up quite the water bill for the place, but it was well worth it.  RELAXATION...

Conor put so many bubbles in that it almost overflowed.  He called himself the "BUBBLE BOY"

It's all about kilts.  (And since we had forgotten Megan's dress for Sunday, she got to pick out a new one!)

Definite Highlight for the kids:  BUNGEE JUMPING!!!!

We bought a lift pass that took us up and down the mountain as many times as we wanted to via a chair lift or a gondola.  Up at the top in one area there were some clues to find a gold mine, which required navigating through some tight spaces

I went to a harp concert that was absolutely beautiful -- my mom and I have always wanted to be able to play the harp!

This event is called the "Sheaf Toss."  Can you see the little black bale of hay (about 3/4" down from the top of the photo)? - it's almost even with the metal poles.  This is just one of the many different Heavy Events at the Highland Games.   

The hotel had a nice indoor and an even nicer outdoor pool.  We swam in both.  The kids enjoyed throwing pool toys and being thrown by daddy!
