Happy New Year from Edmund Rd.

The snow kept falling all day. I was hesitant to get outside and do the shoveling. After a trip to the attic to get my gloves, and a pair of snowpants - one size bigger - for Conor, we headed out into the winter wonderland. The snow was surprisingly light and fluffy. It was actually kind of fun to shovel. Conor grabbed his sled and headed up the street. He has watched the older kids sled down Edmund Road. During the last storm he even joined them a couple of times. Right away our neighbors across the street joined us, then neighbors from up the street. After a couple of hours, it seemed that any child who lived on Edmund Road was sledding down the street. We stopped for cars who were trying to get up our street, or for the occasional plow. But, for the most part, the road was ours. The kids had a blast.

Each time Conor got off his sled, he shouted out for all to hear, "That was TOTALLY AWESOME!" The grin on his face was "awesome" too.

Megan, on the other hand, chose a less daring activity. I pulled her on a little baby sled, once. She decided it was more fun to pull the sled herself, up and down the street, over and over. Finally she stopped at our neighbor's house and was making snow angels on their lawn. I wished I had gotten the camera sooner (no pics of Megan :( she got snow inside her mittens and we had to bring her into the Inn).

To include Megan in the photos, here she is this past Sunday. She is sporting her new fancy coat from Grandma & Grandpa with Cowboy Boots. (They always have the best taste.) She is thrilled about the pockets. Megan is also sporting an adorable hand-me-down dress from a former member of the Arl. Ward! Cheers to hand-me-downs!
