Takin' the AMTRAK to the Garden State

It was time that we visit our pals in New Jersey, so we took the Amtrak. Lisa braved the trip to pick us up at the train station (in Iselin, NJ) with 4 kiddos in tow. Then she took on my 2 kids and me! Between us there were 6 kids under the age of 5! She and John were great hosts. We were anxious to meet the newest little baby, Jane. The best part of the trip was watching Kate and Conor reuinte. These kids have a lasting friendship. Today Conor was telling a neighbor enthusiastically about our trip . . . "We took a train to New Jersey, close to New York City, to visit my friend Kate. I slept there for FOUR days. We had a sleepover. It was soooo much fun!" Both Conor and Megan loved having so many friends to play with under one roof. I loved being with some of my favorite friends too!

Our 1st experience on Amtrak. What a way to travel with kids. I highly recommend it.

Jane is absolutely adorable. My kids were thrilled by the novelty of a baby. You can see Conor was a bit nervous! Jane handled all the attention well. The kids did a "photo shoot" of her one morning.
