Our entry into Canada was exciting. After the border crossing gave the kids Canadian flags, and we began driving toward Fredricton, Brian spotted a moose! It was sauntering by the side of the freeway. I was driving at the time and tried to back up in the emergency lane to get a photo, but the moose ran off. We stayed in Fredricton for two nights. The highlight (for the kids) was the hotel's pool .

From Fredricton we headed to Kouchibouguac, via Green Hill, NB. Brain's family history work led him to a distant cousin. She was a lovely person and showed us around her old dairy barn and her farm. The kids re-stacked her wood pile and enjoyed the machinery.
