One of Brian's jobs, in addition to husband, dad, firefighter, home heating oil deliverer, referee, and chess master is bus driver. He once drove the bus for the MBTA. Now he drives the bus occasionally for Fidelity House for summer camps. Last year after taking kids from FiHo to the Roger William's Park Zoo, he told me that we had to take our kids some day.
August 9th Conor and Megan and I joined Brian on the bus, along with kids from Fidelity House. We loved it. It was a super hot day, but the "cool" animals made the heat more bearable (nice pun).
In the photos below, look for the 2 month old giraffe and a picture of Megan's flip flop. She dropped one of her flip flops into the red panda's area. We had to ask a zoo worker to go in and get it for us!
Oh, and there were the monkeys.........................................
