Snow Day Sunday

Sunday was a Snow Day from church for us.  There was a lot of snow removal done (by me) the night before around 11:00pm and Mr. Sweeney wasn't due home until Monday morning (busy guy in the winter).  The Edmund Inn was warm but Edmund Road was slushy, so I just decided that we would stay home.

The following was my proposal to the kids.  We would each choose a game to play.  My choice would be a church game that I had created for my primary class that day.  They chose my game 1st to "get it over with," but in the end it was "actually really fun, Mom!"

So, it was a CHOOSE THE RIGHT game, patterned after the popular Chutes and Ladder game.  They chose the playing pieces, which included Lego figures and Storm Troopers.  The Storm Troopers stood on the spaces marked "WC" = Wrong Choice.  These Troopers used guns to "shoot" you back down the slide when you made a wrong choice.  A nice church game with a violent twist.

The words next to the CTR shield say, "Remember Jesus always Chose the Right and YOU can too!"

Megan chose to play, "Spot It," a new game we got as a gift from my brother and his family.  It's a great, quick, fun game that has brought us a lot of laughs.  Conor chose to create his own Lego game that turned out to be pretty fun.  It was a Capture the Flag type game and I even won!
